'Coz we are living in a material world...

After coming under fire from a number of directions, Sony admit to "regrettable bad judgement"
Following the reports this week that Sony of America had patented the American military phrase of 'shock and awe' (with reference to the bombing in Iraq) for its games division, it has been confirmed they have now dropped the patent.
Sony remarked that they "concur with the views of those who have expressed strong criticisms regarding this conduct." Of course, games being based on wars is nothing new but Sony's timing in the matter proved to be a tad too insensitive, it seems.
Sony may well now stay clear of this subject matter altogether but we're sure that some time in the future a developer out there will come up with a console game based on the war in Iraq... (bron: Gamesradar.com)
